I found this site today, Polyvore, where you can take images, products, and so on and combine them into what they call sets, but what are essentially online collages. From the site:
Polyvore is a free, easy-to-use web-based application for mixing and matching images from anywhere on the web. It is also a vibrant community of creative and stylish people.
Well, they must be vibrant and creative, seeing that one of their members included The Geek Girl’s Guide to Cheerleading in a set:
That’s What You Get When You Let Your Heart Win by marylinopen featuring Chanel sunglasses
There we are, in the lower right hand corner (in case you missed us). I love all the blues in this set. I love the fact she included our book. That is pretty much the coolest thing ever.
And I’m itching to try Polyvore the next time I want to make a collage. I already spent way too much time scrolling through all the sets featuring Converse All Stars.
SO cool! Both polyvore and especially that set. Oh, I’m so excited about polyvore.
I’m thinking endless writing collages, LOL. I’m trying to stay away until I really need to use it.
How do you find/know about these things? I will check it out AFTER I get a the kitchen cleaned up. Thanks. Cheers!
This was pure luck. Someone clicked on our book image, which brought them to the Geek Girl site, and I saw the strange URL in the dashboard.
That’s so cool! And, I’m going to have to mess around with it, too. I ❤ a good collage.
